The ear lobes are often taken for granted. But they are the sound gatherers. The lobes are designed to collect the incoming sound and direct them inside the ears. 

Aim

Observe the shape and size of people’s ear lobes. 

Activities

Observe the ear lobes of your friends. How many different shapes and sizes did you notice? Make drawings of your friends’ ear lobes in your book.

Classify the ears according to size - big, small and medium. How many children did you find in each category? Which category had the largest number of children? Which the least?

Similarly classify according to the shape of the ear? How else can you classify ears?
